仲夏暑天期盼秋風來臨

 

立秋吃梨候涼風

意象派女詩人西妲‧杜麗朵(H. D.)的詩作〈熱〉中，

形容對熱的感覺是非常固體化的。因是美國南德州特有

的氣候型態，那不是濕熱，而是明麗的乾熱，似乎是有

厚度的熱。因其厚度故需如利刃般的秋風吹來，將凝止

的熱切撕成粉碎，使風流通，成熟的果子落地。

即使熱如此的凝固，女詩人還是有描述的詩作寫成，意

象準確，想法逗趣可愛。雖然熱阻止了人們外出從事社

交活動，但還可賞室內庭園花避暑。最後一段意味著人

們因風流通了，路開通了，開始恢復人來人往的活動。

       

 

熱

 

  

歐，風，劈開熱，

把熱切離，

撕分成粉碎。

否則果實無法掉下

穿過這稠穠的空氣--

果實無法落入熱中

而這熱能向上壓鈍

梨子的尖底

也能使葡萄成熟

切開熱——

犁過它

把你的道路

翻成兩旁

This poem is easy to understand without much

thinking, due to its using rich imagery.  The

speaker in the poem calls for the wind coming to

blow through the hot air which is thick like physical

barrier preventing the fruits from ripening falling

down.  The speaker calls for the autumn wind

coming to blow away the summer heat, so as to

she can escape from the stillness and suffocation

caused by this extreme summer heat.

H.D.(Hilda Doolittle)was a leader of Imagism and modernism

movement during the 18th-19th century, having published her

collection of poems such as "Sea Garden"(海花園 1916).

Of course, she also was influenced by Japanese Haiku in the way of

using economy of words to write her works.

She chosen the fresh and vivid imagery to convey her thoughts.......
