During the late stage of the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, there had been 300,000 Taiwanese neutralized into Japanese "royal" citizens, reputedly. The following article uses that Jap Li as an example to expound why those neutralized Japs, and their descendants, are the most baneful relics of the Japanese occupation.
P.S. I read another article from LINE the other day, which indicates that there were 300,000 "genuine" Japanese remaining in Taiwan and did not return to Japan after World War Two. I doubt there had been so many "Japs" opted to stay; maybe they were just the "royal citizens."
