Yesterday afternoon I joined with a tour visiting a organic, pick-your-own farm located at some rural area in Taoyuan.  A trio of young famers taught us how to pick roselles from trees, dig yams out of soil, and pluck raddishes from field.  Most of the tourists, over seventy in average, acted as amateur famers, busily but joyfully harvested their "produces".

Then the young farmers taught us the recipe of making jam out of the roselles we picked, step by step.  My wife and I followed the instruction and got us three small bottles of roselle jam, all DIY but gratis.  However, they charged us on the yams and raddishes we had, at a fair price. 

What a wonderful afternoon it was.
