I like backpacker but I am a timid traveler , so I always book all the hotels and transportation in Taiwan although I may loss some flexibility.

After the course , we set off  to the destination - South Island. we took the ferry -- Interislander  . It was expensive as it charged us NZ $70 per person , but we could  enjoy the grand seascape of Cook Strait . interislander

To deserve to mention , it is very convenience for tourists in there . For example , we rarely see long line in front counters because you need not show your passport. They just verify the code you receive after paid ,  everything is OK.

We cannot afford  dining out , so we chose YHA and apartments to live because we can cook by ourselves and therefore we always went to the supermarkets after arriving our hotels . We found that the average prices of most merchandises including food are about 4 times more expansive than those in Taiwan. But some food like steak ,cauliflower ,kiwi and apple whose prices were a little cheaper than those in Taiwan  . More importantly , they are so delicious , so we almost ate them in whole trip.

When we reached South Island, we took Magic bus along the west coast to go and passed Nelson  to arrive in our first target-Frane Josef .
