Some foreign friends cannot distinguish Taiwan from Thailand. Actually, Taiwan and Thailand are very close but they are totally different countries.

Both countries are located in Southeast Asia and the weather of both countries is very hot. Besides, their currencies exchanged to US dollar are similar (USD:NTD=1:33 & USD: THB=1:35). However, Taiwan is an island and Thailand isn't.

I have never been to Thailand but in my impression from movies, Thailand is a horrible country with lots of "Tame Head" (a kind of oriental black magic) and ferocious ghosts.
