           人力資本 Human Capital                    

隨著知識經濟時代的來臨,僱傭關係的型態,已從以往的「勞力供給模式」(labour supply model)讓位給「知識供給模式」(knowledge supply model),也由於這個轉變,使人力資源管理的重心也轉向智慧資本的管理之上,而其中又以「人力資本」與組織績效有最直接的關聯。那麼,什麼是「人力資本」?人力資本即員工所具有的「與工作有關的專業技能、知識」,它融合了知識、技術與革新,以及企業內個別員工掌握自己任務的能力,同時也含括了企業的價值與文化。

With the advent of the knowledge economy, the nature of employer-employee relations has changed from a labour supply model to a knowledge supply model. This transformation has shifted the focus of human resources management to the management of intellectual resources, and in this context, it is human capital that is most directly connected to organizational performance. What, then, is human capital? Defined as the professional skills and knowledge related to ones work, it incorporates knowledge, technical skills and innovativeness, as well as the specific competence of individual employees within the enterprise to perform their duties. It also includes to some degree corporate values and culture. 

如果企業對人力資源管理的認識,還停留在過去單純的人事行政,不僅無法有效提升組織績效,還可能因為制度設計及人力配置的錯誤,導致企業營運不彰,成為拖垮企業的主因。
