讀紀伯倫《孩子》

讀到紀伯倫的這首詩，才似懵懂地“明白”——
原來不是我多麼偉大多麼無“私”，因為女兒從來都並非我私有。
我一點兒也不介意，甚至是充滿了感激——
當我只是被“借用”，當我永遠也不能抵達“明日之屋”。
原來，對於孩子的愛，即是對生命的愛。

你的孩子不是你的孩子，
他們是生命渴望自身的兒女。
他們借助你出生，卻並非來自於你，
雖然他們和你在一起，卻不屬於你。
你可以給他們愛，卻不可以給他們思想。
因為他們有自己的思想。
你可以庇護他們的身體，卻不能庇護他們的靈魂。
因為他們的靈魂住在明日之屋，那是你在夢中也無緣探訪的。
你可以努力去模仿他們，卻不能設法使他們象你。
因為生命是不會倒行的，也不與昨日一同停留。
你是弓你的孩子是生命之箭，
那神射手在無窮之間瞄準，
也用神力將你引滿，
好讓他的箭射得又快又遠。
讓你在射者手中的彎曲成為喜悅吧，
因為他愛那飛出的箭，也愛那堅穩的弓。
