Dear 阿公:

      I will always remember the times we shared together playing cards during Chinese New Year. You were always quite the champ! I remember always following your lead because luck (or Wisdom)was always on your side.

      I remember the times we went to 宜蘭,the times we spent talking about your trips to the U.S.and Japan, and the times we've spent just simply watching TV. I also remember the last time I saw you in Taipei this summer, the summer of 2009. I remember standing right by your bedside, holding your hand and calling out "阿公 阿公 您聽得到我嗎? 我是 Cindy" and you making a grunt as to acknowledge my existence. In that moment, even though you couldn't open your eyes or speak to me, I knew that you knew I was there by your side. As I stood there with dampened cheeks, I knew that I would cherish that moment forever.

     阿公! although it pains me that you are not with us anymore, I am also glad that you are now in a better place; in a world where the pain has finally abated.

     You will always be in my memories!
