Barefoot Living Diary, My Feet Are My Shoes

For many people, choosing a pair of shoes is part of getting ready to go out.

For me, it isnt.

My feet are my shoes.

Whenever barefoot walking is allowed, I choose to go barefoot.

I walk barefoot when buying breakfast in the morning.

I walk barefoot when visiting convenience stores.

I walk barefoot in parks, on neighborhood streets, and during my daily walks.

If going barefoot is permitted, that is simply how I prefer to live.

Being barefoot is not a challenge, a statement, or an attempt to attract attention.

Its just normal life for me.

People are often surprised when they notice my bare feet.

Some take a second look.

Some ask where my shoes are.

Others wonder if its uncomfortable.

To be honest, I feel the opposite.

After living barefoot for so long, wearing shoes often feels less natural than being barefoot.

I enjoy feeling the world directly.

The warmth of a sidewalk under the summer sun.

The softness of grass in a park.

The cool touch of tiled floors.

The damp feeling of the ground after rain.

Even small differences in texture become part of the experience.

These are things that shoes usually separate us from.

I prefer to experience them myself.

Sometimes I walk through a shopping mall surrounded by people wearing every kind of footwear imaginable while Im simply barefoot.

Sometimes I sit in a park and watch people pass by.

Sometimes I walk home at sunset, feeling the warmth still stored in the pavement beneath my feet.

These ordinary moments bring me a surprising amount of happiness.

I know that not everyone understands barefoot living.

But Ive never gone barefoot to prove a point.

Im not trying to challenge society or convince others to do the same.

Im simply living in a way that feels natural to me.

What barefoot living gives me is more than physical freedom.

It gives me a sense of authenticity.

A sense of confidence.

A reminder that I dont need to live according to everyone elses expectations.

As long as barefoot walking is allowed, Ill continue to be barefoot.

Today.

Tomorrow.

And for years to come.

My feet are my shoes.

And barefoot living makes me feel truly free.
