【Featured Dharma Talk by His Holiness Sheng-Yen Lu】 Grand Master Imparts the Teaching of the Most Excellence Chanting Method.

When chanting Buddha, must recite Amitabha, and must also recite his two retinues, "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" and "Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva", they are the "Trinity of Western Paradise".

The Buddha recitation method of "Pure Land (Sukhavati) Sect" is mainly based on the "Great Dharma of Amitabha", which is to "recite Buddha name", and also known as "the easy way salvation". One of the easiest method of Buddha recitation is: take a deep breath and recite until exhaling the air, cultivate a total of ten times, is called "Ten Recitation Method".
Buddha recitation also has "Four Words Buddha Recitation", and also "Six Words Buddha Recitation",  Lian-Sheng Dharma King demonstrated several chanting methods of Buddha recitation, and told everyone, as long as you like to use whicever chanting tone, then is fine to use that type.

Grand Master instructs everyone of the "Buddha recitation", if you chant outdoors, can visualize Amitabha as big as a pine tree, even as high as the sky, visualize the image of Amitabhe during Buddha recitation; if you chant Buddha inside the temple or house, you can visualize Amitabhe as tall as thumb, the whole body is gold colour, and is in between your eyebrows, or even visualize yourself became Amitabha, there will be sensation when the visualization is very thorough and clear, and you will also know whether Amitabha has came or not.

When Grand Master lead everyone to circumambulate Buddha in the temple everyday,  Amitabha arrives everyday, and this is the phenomenon of "union response".

When there is a response, on one's deathbed, as long as one recite Buddha wholeheartedly, Amitabha will come to you and lead you to the Pure Land at the most critical time!

Therefore once there is a response, will never leave forever!

唸佛時，要唸阿彌陀佛，也要唸兩位脇侍「觀世音菩薩」及「大勢至菩薩」，這是「西方三聖」。

「淨土宗」的唸佛法門，是以「彌陀大法」為主，就是「持名唸佛」，也稱為「易行道」。其中一個最簡單的唸佛方法－－吸一口氣唸到呼氣，總共做十次，就叫作「十唸法」。
唸佛也有「四字唸佛」，也有「六字唸佛」，蓮生法王示範了幾種佛號的唱誦，並告訴大家，只要你喜歡用哪一種音調唱誦，就用哪一種即可。

師 尊教導大家「唸佛」，如果是在戶外唸，可觀想阿彌陀佛如松樹，甚至像天一樣高，一面唸佛號，一面想念阿彌陀佛的形象；如果是在寺內或屋內唸佛時，可觀想 阿彌陀佛就如姆指般高，全身金色，在自己的眉心，甚至自己就變化成阿彌陀佛，觀想的非常仔細清楚，就會有覺受，而自己也會知道阿彌陀佛有沒有來。

每一天師尊在雷藏寺帶領大眾繞佛時，阿彌陀佛每一次都有來，而這就是「相應」的現象。

有了相應，在臨終之時，只要一心唸佛，阿彌陀佛就會在這最緊要的時刻，接引你到淨土！

所以只要一相應，就永遠不會離開！
