【Grand Master Sheng-Yen Lu's Quotes TBSky News】 The weekend is coming! The time when many chapters would be holding group practice sessions. However, many disciples will often neglect the importance of group practice due to reasons like their personal opinions of the chapters and busy schedules.
His Holiness Living Buddha Lian-Sheng has expounded, "One should know that to practice on your own, there is only the strength of one person. When everyone come together to do a group practice of True Buddha Tantric Practices, form hand mudras, do visualisations, mantra chanting or recital of the Buddha's name, the combined strength is very strong. The Dharmic power is very huge."
"Group practice is the gathering of the immeasurable merits in the heart power of everyone. When the sages and the virtuous ones converge, the Buddhas & Bodhisattvas will descend out of compassion. In this way, the karmic obstacles will be eradicated, the merits will increase and your wishes will be fulfilled!"
"In the book Crossing over the Ocean of Life & Death, I reminded the bardo spirit to go swiftly to the Lei Zang Temples, chapters and cultivation centers. By the power of group practice, the bright light of the Buddhas & Bodhisattvas will be invoked to descend. Once the bardo spirit enter into the bright light, the spirit would be reborn in the Pureland.”
“Hence, I want the bardo spirit to go swiftly to: 1. The retreat residence of the Root Guru, 2. Temple, 3. Pagoda (With a pagoda, there will be Buddhas.), 4. Chapters & cultivation centers.”
