這幾天我接到一片勵志演講帶，由一個美國黑人萊斯布朗主講的，這種片子是說理性的，主講人想要傳達一些特別的訊息，所以很不容易懂，也很難翻。我碰到一句“A hard head make a soft behind”我怎麼看都看不懂，查遍所有的字典和手上的百科全書，也用Google和 Yahoo搜尋了，還是找不到，偏偏這是急件，我答應大年初一中午前要交稿，我問了一位加拿大的記者，同時也是編輯，他還有博士學位，他說他不了解這句話的意思，我也問了一位英國的好朋友，他有哲學碩士的學歷，也是英語系國家的人，他也說沒聽過，我把一大段傳給他，他也說看不出來到底是什麼意思。畢竟這是美國黑人的俚語，他沒聽過也是正常的，後來這位英國朋友建議我到http://answers.yahoo.com的美國網站去提問，果然有兩個人幫我回答得非常清楚，所以這個方法也不錯，不過提問要扣點數，你必須要回答別人的問題才能賺取點數，因此也不是白吃的午餐。平常要廣結世界各地的善友，需要時才有人可以問，但是再博學的人也會有智窮的時候，那就上網去提問吧！
“A hard head make a soft behind”的意思是：腦袋硬（固執）心腸軟。另一個意思是：不聽忠告就會遇到大麻煩，付出極大的代價。
英解如下：
