2. MLA vs. APA
the Modern Language Association (MLA), is the principal professional
association in the United States for scholars of language and literature.
The MLA aims to "strengthen the study and teaching of language
and literature. "
APA style is a format for academic documents such as journal articles
and books. It is codified in the style guide of the American Psychological
Association (APA), titled the Publication Manual of the American
Psychological Association. The APA states that the guidelines were
developed to assist reading comprehension in the social and behavioral
sciences, for clarity of communication, and for "word choice that best
reduces bias in language". APA style is widely used, either entirely or
with modifications, by hundreds of other scientific journals (including
medical and other public health journals), in many textbooks, and in
academia (for papers written in classes).

politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times
between 1659 and 1678. His poems range from the love-song

house and garden in "Upon Appleton House" and "The Garden",
the political address "An Horatian Ode upon Cromwell's Return
from Ireland", and the later personal and political satires "Flecknoe"
and "The Character of Holland".
