as for savvy~~~what i mean is that people dont using savvy that often nowadays~and clearly you dont get it ~due to yoru ignorant
still dont get it ~do you?~~XD
let me tell you something about savvy ~wise guy~
1785, as a noun, "practical sense, intelligence;" also a verb, "to know, to understand;" West Indies pidgin borrowing of French savez(-vous) (“‘do you know’”)" or Spanish sabe (usted) (“‘you know’”), both from Vulgar Latin *sapere, from Latin sapere (“‘be wise, be knowing’”) (see sapient). The adjective is first recorded 1905, from the noun.i dont expect you know the why savvy was mostly used in 18 century~and sure we still used it from time to time ~but it is now ~~mostly~~~ for people with limited education not college level ~perhaps people from south and some old people~~~
well ~~~and pucks
also you can rent this movie Street Smart, a 1987 film with Morgan Freeman.
if you would be please ~~~go play with your hands in the corner of your room~however, if you want to play like jackass then be my guest
thanks...
I am not going to reply to this. You are too way off. sorry, dude.
吹牛皮 大俠 於 2008/08/18 11:20回覆 - 2樓. 白藍氏雞精2008/08/18 04:39your terrible logic
(1) MOST OF ALL, difficult to understand. (2) it is very difficult to understand (3) but it is understandable (4) I agree.
draw the statement relationship like that ~~ either you a member from dpp or you have some serious issues
if you have any idea where and why i left the "to whom may concern" up there then you would know that i am being funny about it. since you made that comment ~~ then i wont you expect you to know~~~ the reason without name under yours truelypeople with some common sense would know ~but clearly you are not one of them~ XD
dude~~~~why the long face~~~and which college did you go to again??
or do you? :P it is the first time i see someone so crazy to emphasis he went to college if he did go to one~~
now do check the differences for the following statement~~~for the time line~purpose
she just told me this morning~~~~~she just tell me now
dude, sorry, couldn't understand your writing here. :-( 吹牛皮 大俠 於 2008/08/18 11:19回覆 - 1樓. 白藍氏雞精2008/08/17 08:15to whom may concern
Dear wise guy:
it is not my nature to correct your English~but it is a very natural thing to do
how about mr. yo-yo ma~
sure we can say mr ma yo-yo~but the correct way should be mr. yo-yo ma
i do apologized that i have no idea she just made that statement today and do excuse my typo earlier , you were correct ~it should be word by word
i would assume she made only one statement~~~ therefor no "s" in the end~ (now do check your gramma book)
since "Chinese way" is your style then i guess that explain why you like "s" so much.
you probably have a hole without "s" in your life~~~ XD
get it? pal~ :P
since she is not making the statement at this very moment~it would be better to use past tense
it is very difficult to understand~but it is understandable~~~do check the differences
yours truly
hey, buddy, you really don't want to let it go....huh?
that's ok.... you are cool.....
Nowsday, a lot of foreign journalists use "last name + first name" as a naming convention to identify chinese people. Go check....HU Jin-Tao (rarely, CNN calls him Jin-Tao Hu). Mao Zher-Dong (rarely people call him Zer-Dong Mao). Deng Xiao-Ping (rarely, Xiao-Ping Deng)...Yao Ming, Wang Z. Z., Yi Jen-Lien, and so on .....Come on, my friend, losse it up....or go read newspaper or watch CNN.
Huh? you think Yo-Yo Ma is a "conventional" Chinese celebrity? oh come on,buddy....I am very very very very very sure, if Mr. Ma (like Yo Ming) grew up, immigrated to the States, became a celebrity after 25 years living in China, people today would call him Ma Yo-Yo (not Yo-Yo Ma). In summary, people call him today by Yo-Yo Ma for a reason. Do you understand that?
Second of all, Ms. Tasi makes almost a full page of statements in that news report, not ONE statement......come on, buddy, get loose....won't you?
Also, buddy....this is a very obvious realson why people say: "She eats a dog today", not "she ate a dog today." The present tense is NOT only used for any event ocurring at this exact moment.....Hey, come on, go check your gramma textbook, there are 23 reasons (why? I love MJ. Hahahhaha) why you have to use the present tense.
Anyway, buddy...come back and teach me more (so that I can get you some returns as well....hahahhhhhaaaa....)
吹牛皮 大俠 於 2008/08/17 10:55回覆one more thing (not your English, but your basic logic)...
You said two things:
(1) MOST OF ALL, difficult to understand.
(2) it is very difficult to understand
And then you said two more things:
(3) but it is understandable
(4) I agree.
And finally, you asked me to "do check the differences"...'''Come on, buddy...of course not....I am not able to check the differences between (1)(2) and (3)(4) because they are totally conflicting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, my firend, go work on not only your English, but also your logic in the elementary school.
Hahahahhaha...
