A woman was chatting with her next-door neighbor. "I feel really good today. I started out this morning with an act of unselfish generosity. I gave a twenty dollar bill to a bum."

一名婦女和隔壁鄰居聊天，她說：「我今天心情很好。我一大早就毫不吝嗇的行善，拿20元給一個遊手好閒的男人。」 

"You gave a bum twenty dollars? That's a lot of money to just give away. What did your husband say about it ? "

鄰居回應：「你給米蟲20元？那可不是小錢。你老公怎麼說？」 

"Oh, he thought it was the proper thing to do. He said, 'Thanks.' "

婦女回答：「他覺得很恰當。他說『謝謝』。」
