The Tortoise and the Hare

Once upon a time, in a thick jungle, lived a tortoise and a hare. The hare was very proud of his speed. He always told other animals about how fast he could run. All the animals of the jungle were tired of his boasting. Therefore, one day a clever tortoise asked him, “Would you like to race me?”

When the hare heard the tortoise’s challenge he laughed and said, “Ha…ha…this little tortoise is challenging me. He has no chance at winning.”

The day for the race was scheduled and all the animals in the forest were invited to watch it. When the race began, both the tortoise and the hare started moving. The hare started the race by running as fast as he could. The tortoise, on the other hand, crawled slowly.

After running for a long distance, the hare stopped near a large tree. He looked around and saw no one. So, he decided to rest for a while until he saw the tortoise again. The hare fell fast asleep.

The tortoise, on the other hand, kept crawling and crawling. He did not stop even for a single moment until he reached the finish line. The animals who were watching the race cheered so loudly for the tortoise that they woke up the hare.

The hare stretched, yawned and said out loud, “That tortoise is slower than I thought. I can’t believe I haven’t seen him since the beginning of the race. I’m not going to wait for him. I might as well just finish the race now.”

So, the hare began to run again, but it was too late. The tortoise had already won the race. When the hare realized the tortoise had already crossed the finished line he said, “That can’t be! How did this happen?”

The tortoise smiled and simply said, “It’s great to be confident, but never good to be arrogant. The slow and steady win the race.”

I might as well just... And another in the tent ,who was just as nice該如何翻譯呢?....
