Good topic, Elizabeth! I have a few close friends, and the dearest of them is my sister–I’m blessed that our friendship is a good one, and it’s awesome being able to call her up and gab about anything from our kids to our parents to favorite books or whether I can borrow some shoes ;) My other close friends are generally ones at a similar place in life for whatever reason — parenting, or workwise, or other things. I do have a few friends I stay in touch with from years ago, but we aren’t as close as we were when we were in school together.
