為何有些人年過花甲仍神采奕奕，有些人卻早早顯露老態？關鍵或許不在昂貴的保健品，而藏在日常脫口而出的口頭禪裡。
「唉，老了啦，體力真的有差……」、「這太難了，我哪會啊？」這類看似無傷大雅的感嘆，其實正悄悄影響你的大腦運作。日本知名腦科學家西剛志警告，這些語言習慣正是加速大腦退化、邁向「老人腦」的隱形推手。
說「老」真的會變老？紐約大學驚人實驗：語言正悄悄綁架你的身體 語言的力量遠比我們想像中強大。西剛志指出，習慣性使用負面詞彙會產生心理暗示，進而直接影響生理表現。
來看紐約大學的一項經典實驗便知一二，研究人員將學生分為兩組，個別參加造句任務，第一組使用與老年相關的詞彙，例如灰色、孤獨、健忘、退休，第二組則使用中性詞彙。
結果發現，剛才使用完「老人詞彙」的學生離開實驗室時，步行速度竟然明顯變慢！這就是腦科學中的「啟動效應（又稱促發效應、Priming Effect）」，你所說的每一句話，都在無意識中為大腦下達了「老化」的指令。
哈佛心理學家Ellen Langer的研究也呼應了這個觀點。他發現，7、80歲的高齡者嘗試「假裝年輕」，他們的血壓、視力甚至聽力都有所改善。
可見改變心態，對身體回春的影響有多大！
比體力下滑更可怕！這些「老人腦」關鍵字正加速大腦退化 長期慣於使用負面語言，不僅容易情緒低落，還可能引發「老人性憂鬱」或提高認知障礙風險。
西剛志博士提醒，以下詞彙如同腦細胞的毒藥，一旦說出口，大腦運作效能便會瞬間變差：
1. 「好累」：大腦會自動創造疲勞狀態 當你說出「累死了」的瞬間，大腦會立刻浮現疲倦的意象。即使體力尚未耗盡，大腦也會為了符合你的語言指令，讓你的各項表現大幅下滑。
2. 「不知道、太難了」：瞬間凍結思考能力 這些詞彙是「思考防火牆」，一旦脫口而出，大腦就會停止尋求解決方案的運作。
還有這些讓大腦「扣分」的語彙盡量斷捨離： 討厭、運氣不好、做不到、辦不到、太難了、已經上年紀了、因為沒時間、都是那個人的錯、大家都這樣說所以才…、那時如果…就好了、太麻煩。
