國立自然科學博物館即將在2026年迎來開館40週年，為感謝社會各界長年以來的支持，將推出限時一年的「週五午後免費」方案。

自2026年1月1日起至12月31日為止，這段期間每週五下午2點到5點開放免費參觀展示場，邀請民眾把握限定時段，在週末前夕走進展廳，帶著輕鬆的心情感受自然與人文交織的奧秘。

本次免費參觀範圍包含科博館三大常設展廳：「生命科學廳」、「人類文化廳」、「地球環境廳」，觀眾可自由參觀館內常設展及當期特展（收費特展除外），從高人氣的機械恐龍、大王魷魚標本、埃及木乃伊與人型棺槨、水運儀象臺、古菱齒象等展品，到去年翻新的《奇幻自然》展區，以及全新登場、轟動各界的《大地瑰寶》礦物常設展，都能一次逛足、一飽眼福。

科博館館長黃文山表示，開放週五下午兩點後入館免費，是希望可以讓更多人帶著準備迎接假期的心情走進博物館，打開視野、拓展思考，並從探索中感受知識的樂趣，而科博館四十年來始終致力於成為全民的學習場域，未來也將持以多元、友善的方式，深化自然科學的傳播。

科博館自1986年開館以來，參觀總人次已突破一億一千萬參觀人次，此次藉由更友善的方式回饋社會，也盼望提供更舒適的參觀品質，讓博物館能成為全民週末生活的一部分，衷心邀請大家在40週年館慶之際再度走進博物館，共同見證科博館的成長與蛻變。

Peter、Paul 和 Mary 於 1986 年他們 25 週年音樂會上現場演唱《Puff， the Magic Dragon》。如今，二十多年後，為了慶祝該團體在著名的格林威治村成立50週年，這場充滿歡樂與深刻感人的現場音樂會，首次由Shout！發行DVD！工廠。 DVD點此購買：http://www.shoutfactory.com/?q=node/1... 《Puff， the Magic Dragon》的歌詞改編自1959年康乃爾大學19歲學生Leonard Lipton的詩作。利普頓的靈感來自奧格登·納什（Ogden Nash）的一首詩《卡斯特龍》（Custard the Dragon），詩中講述一隻「真實、真實的小寵物龍」。 歌詞講述了永恆的龍 Puff 和他的玩伴 Jackie Paper 的故事，Jackie 是一個長大後對童年虛幻冒險失去興趣的小男孩，留下 Puff 孤單且沮喪。（由於歌詞中「A dragons lives forever， but not so little boys」，歌詞可能讓人覺得Jackie Paper已經死了。）這首歌的故事發生在虛構的霍納利國度「海邊」（作者藍尼·利普頓使用此拼法，但有許多非權威的變體）。 利普頓在康乃爾大學時與彼得·雅羅的室友是朋友。他用雅羅的打字機把這首詩從腦海中抹去。之後他就忘了這件事，直到多年後一位朋友打電話告訴他 Yarrow 正在找他，並要給他歌詞的功勞。聯繫後，Yarrow 將作曲權歸給 Lipton 一半，他仍從該曲中獲得版稅。 為了保持性別中立，雅羅現在唱出「A dragons lives forever， but not so little boys」這句歌詞變成「A dragons lives forever， but so so girls and boys.」（一條龍永存，但女孩和男孩卻不然）。

原詩中也有一段詩句未被收錄在歌曲中。在裡面，Puff 找到另一個孩子，回來後和他玩耍。

雅羅和利普頓都不記得這段詩的細節，而1958年留在雅羅打字機裡的紙張也已遺失。
