「肌少症可說是身體快速衰退的源頭之一!」營養師黃楀軒表示,年紀大肌肉流失是很正常且必然現象,長者如果罹患肌少症,肌肉持續流失,就連走路、爬樓梯都沒力氣,長時間不想出門,關在家裡只會更加速身體退化。

黃楀軒強調,肌少症除了影響活動力,臨床上,不少長者罹患肌少症,而跌倒、骨折,尤其骨折恢復慢,肌肉又加速流失,再加上臥床又提高嗆咳、吸入性肺炎、褥瘡等風險。

肌少症怎麼自救? 黃楀軒表示,預防肌少症只要做到2大原則,就可以有效減少肌少症問題,第一多動,多做負重運動,可以刺激肌肉,增加肌肉量、減少肌肉流失;第2吃夠,要吃足熱量,攝取足夠的蛋白質,如雞肉、豆類,都是優質蛋白質食物。

吃白飯、白粥不健康?
黃楀軒認為,白飯、白粥同時含有蛋白質及熱量,如果長者本身沒有血糖問題,只要願意吃、吃得下,透過白飯、白粥可以補足熱量,也可以補充蛋白質,白飯、白粥也非常容易入口,很適合牙口不好的長者。
