How did this happen, really? I'm still trying to figure it out.

Black Friday is the next day of Thanksgiving. It's a traditional shopper's day here mostly because "smart shoppers" think they can get a good deal or big discount on big brand names and products. This day is also an indication on how good the whole economy will be the next season. Or at least let's say how good people's buying ability is. The stores open at 4 or 5AM. The shoppers would wait in line in the monring. And some would the day before ie. camping outside the stores the whole night on Thanksgiving.

REALLY?

Is it really worth it? To get up at 3 to get ready. To find a parking space where the lot is all packed and busy. Not to say that you need to stay in the FREEZING cold for the stores to open. FOR WHAT? for saving a few bucks on clothes? TV's? laptops? WHATEVER. It's INSANE.

"But Jaime would like to have her Santa Bear," said Hubby. "That is her collection. And I have been buying her bears at Macy's for years." ALRIGHTY. So we went to Macy's on Black Friday morning EVERY YEAR for a bear. At first the bear was single, so we bought ONE bear. Then he found a girlfriend, so we bought ONE PAIR. Then the happy couple started a family of TWO, we ended up with FOUR bears. Good thing this year Macy's stopped making Santa Bears. YIPPIE! NO MORE getting up at 3 for a STUPID bear or his STUPID family.

Then the day after Black Friday I heard about this on TV. An employee of Walmart got trampled then later died on Black Friday. The "smart shoppers" broke the door into the store, trampled the poor guy, and kept on pushing forward yelling, "we want to shop." The poor guy's family were trying to figure out how all this happened -- how their son died from being trampled because "smart shoppers" wanted to shop.

REALLY, how did all this happen? A VERY BLACK friday indeed.
