After dinner, we started the birthday "ceremony": singing the birthday song, giving presents. (My elder granddaughter made a makeshift card for my wife), and the "ritual" in front of birthday cake. When my wife made a wish and blew the candle with two kids, suddenly my younger granddaughter started to cry loud. What’s up? Everyone was surprised. She missed the blow.
No matter how we coaxed a smile from her, she was still in tears. So, I took out my lighter and lit the candle again; this time we let her blow the candle all by herself. She tried several times, finally she did, alone. With tears were still lingering on her pretty little face, she burst into smile.
What a memorable birthday it is!
