    人間四月芳菲盡，

    All flowers in late spring have started to fall and fade,

    山寺桃花始盛開。

    yet peach blossoms are in efflorescence on the hillside.

    長恨春歸無覓處，

    Always do I hate to see spring slip away without a trace;

    不知轉入此中來。

    little do I know for once more it can be found in this place.

    PS. Here "人間四月天" comes again,  though the scene described in the poem is pertaining to a lunar April.

    It is interesting to note that the Chinese phrase 春歸 can either mean "slip away" or "return". But I think your choice of the word suits better to this scene.  
    Thank you for the comments, I do appreciate. Lunar April used to be the first month of summer, so "春歸" had better be interpreted as the spring that has gone away. Retiredbum 於 2020/04/01 21:39回覆
