Religion is a pact between humans and the spiritual realm

In this world, only animals are truly simple. They dont need anything external, coexist with nature, and become part of it after death. They dont take up land, have tombstones, or cemeteries, allowing the earth to be continuously used by future generations. In recent years, various counties and cities have promoted free memorial parks for their residents, where ashes can be returned to the soil—dust to dust, earth to earth—allowing the land to be reused without tombstones, paper money burning, scripture chanting, or meaningless rituals.

Most people dont realize that scriptures are messages passed down through living people by higher-level spirits. Chanting, worshiping, or burning incense attracts wandering spirits, as scriptures dont bring merit but rather signal to spirits within a large radius that you have a request. These spirits consume food offerings and absorb the energy from incense smoke, which strengthens them and gives them the ability to move objects and influence the living. Common scriptures like the Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, and Earth Store Sutra all have this effect. Once they are drawn to you, accidents may follow. Visiting temples or seeking help from spirit-possessed masters can also be risky—minor consequences include tripping, while severe ones could involve car accidents or life-threatening situations. Devout religious followers often suffer long-term consequences, ranging from debt to major accidents or illnesses. These outcomes have been personally experienced by myself, my family, and friends. News reports frequently cover cases where entire chanting groups get into accidents or ancestral altars catch fire due to divine lamps. If chanting and worshiping truly brought divine protection, why do these groups still face deadly disasters? Why do those honoring their ancestors sometimes suffer tragic misfortunes? A simple Google search will reveal such cases.

Sadly, many people in deep suffering turn to religion for comfort, only to unknowingly fall into its traps. Many religions also advocate vegetarianism, which can lead to a cold constitution and energy imbalance. Most vegetables—and even soybeans, a major protein source for vegetarians—are naturally cooling foods. Over time, this causes cold hands and feet, weakens vital energy, and makes individuals more susceptible to spiritual influence. This is why many fortune tellers who work with spirits forbid their clients from eating beef—beef is warming, nourishes the blood, and strengthens hair. Since hair is an extension of blood, lifelong avoidance of beef can lead to premature graying, aging, and increased vulnerability to spiritual interference.

All souls coexist with us on the same earth—there is no heaven or hell. The spirit world is structured similarly to human society, with officials resembling village chiefs. Those who die naturally are guided by bureaucratic spirits to their designated place, where they wait for reincarnation. Those who die unexpectedly, however, remain near their place of death, wandering until they find a newly pregnant woman whose unborn soul they can replace. Those who cannot see spirits naturally find such descriptions hard to believe. This is why even highly educated individuals fall for religious teachings, often with unfortunate outcomes. Many choose extreme medical interventions, undergoing repeated surgeries or even organ removal for conditions that could have been treated through simple lifestyle changes.

Funeral rites and religion involve enormous financial interests. Becoming a spiritual leader in a religious sect allows one to amass wealth, live in luxury, and enjoy offerings from followers. Perhaps this is just the law of nature—those with the greatest deception skills become leaders, and even the highly educated end up victims of religious scams without realizing it.
