WESTMINSTER — The search for missing 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway continues, with Westminster police spokesman Trevor Materasso briefing the media Monday.
He said 12 agencies and 125 people will be searching a triangular area from Colo. 128 (West 120th Avenue) to Colo. 93 then back along U.S. 36, including Eldorado Canyon.
Materasso said similar resources to what were used Saturday will be used Monday. No volunteers are needed for the search, but he asked those wishing to help to distribute fliers of Jessica. A new flier was prepared Monday.
He said he wants the public to focus on Jessica's facial features, not necessarily the clothes she was wearing on Friday.
"Remember what she looks like," he

Jessica's mother, a night-shift worker, told police she last saw her daughter walking toward school Friday morning. She reported the girl missing later in the afternoon when she woke to find a phone message saying Jessica hadn't arrived at Witt Elementary School, about a mile away at 10255 W. 104th Drive in Westminster.
At about 1 p.m. Sunday, a man in Rock Creek posted on the Westminster town Listserv mailing-list server that he had found a backpack and a water bottle with Jessica's name on it. He was not aware the child was missing and posted, "If this is yours come and get it," Materasso recounted.
The backpack was found on the sidewalk at Andrew Drive and Alpha Court in Superior, but investigators Sunday were not able to pin down how long it had been there.
Materasso said Monday police still don't know when the backpack was put where it was found. "Kids may have gone by," he said. "We want parents to talk to their kids about it."
Jessica's father attended a child-custody hearing in a Missouri courtroom Friday. Police don't believe the custody

No evidence points to any family involvement, Materasso has said.
He said Monday there is no individual or person of interest in the case.
But "we do not have reason to believe a person is going around abducting children," he added.
People with information are asked to call the tip line at 303-658-4336 or email PDAmberAlert@cityofwestminster.us.
Materasso said more than 300 tips have been received. He added that no tip is too small.
