"Lose one’s nerve" means to suddenly become too frighten to do things that you intend to do, which makes you underperform. When a singer loses her nerve on the stage, she will not be able to sing well with lyrics slipping your mind, singing off key, etc.
"Lose one’s nerve" 來表示突然間對你原先要做的事情有一種懼怕感，這會讓你表現失去應有的水準。當一位女歌手在台上loses her nerve，她將會無法把歌唱好，讓她失去平常的水準，譬如忘詞，走音諸如此類。
