Homeschooling differs from traditional public school. Kids are able to learn at home. With no specific classrooms, no classmates, homeschoolers receive education in which can be any corner in the world. In 2016, there are approximately 2.3 million students are homeschoolers across the U.S.A. For each, due to special individual condition, or dissatisfactions to public school system so parents determinedly decide to move on the course homeschooling.
The anonymous learning, flexibility on schedule-setting and finance, and tailored education are the main features of homeschooling. Homeschooling system, parents group together or they hire professional tutors to be in charge of the classes. For homeschooled students, they are not necessary to follow the school curriculum so when they get behind the progress or ahead of the schedule, the teachers can do some adjustment for better efficiency. Homeschooled teachers can also change the type of traditional classes instead adopting interactive games or knowledgeable discussions. According to some academic researches, learning in relaxation can achieve the highest effectiveness. Also, certain schools open some classes for homeschoolers. For example, sport clubs, musical instruments, liberal art, and so on. The diversified classes help forge the friendship to the school peers, and parents should let kids get more involved to group activities as well. Thus, they wont be socially and emotionally handicapped.
You might doubt whether the homeschooled students can excel in curriculum. Actually, traditional school includes at least 30 students in the class. Basically, class leader spend one third of the class on management. As well, traditional school greatly relied on standardizing testing to watch kids learning academically. In other words, some rather slower learners are always falling behind. Most importantly, speaking to academic upgradation, in America, some states ask homeschoolers receive standardized test in certain intervals or have portfolio reviews as monitoring. Portal acquisition to college, they still can be accepted into college, but they need to show their qualifications, criteria for English and math.
Learning is a process no matter what the form is. Still, homeschooling has debates. In Taiwan, maybe we should start to think about anonymous learning. We might all have the similar experience that the teachers ruin our understanding but you are forced to glue your bottom to chair. Points stressed some given-up students eager and are deserved for more care but they belong to scarification. Barely with the points mentioned, you might get into this topic regardless of system establishment in Taiwan, right?
