2012年國際失智症協會首次連結全世界78個國家的失智症協會，辦理全球的國際失智症月活動，各國失智症協會將於九月連結更多組織團體共同舉辦各種活動，以提昇社會對失智症的關注，並改善對失智患者及家屬之服務。國際失智症協會與各國失智症協會共同團結合作，以確保全球的失智患者及家屬們有更好的生活。
ADI co-ordinates World Alzheimer's Month and World Alzheimer's Day around the world by producing, distributing and encouraging members and other organisations around the world to organise an event on the day. World Alzheimer's Month is observed in September every year. World Alzheimer's Month was launched in September 2012. ADI is the international federation of Alzheimer associations around the world, in official relations with the World Health Organization. Each member is the Alzheimer association in their country who support people with dementia and their families. ADI's vision is an improved quality of life for people with dementia and their families throughout the world.
