Terms of Veteran Employment in the Civil Service Amended

考試院院會今（8）日通過修正特種考試退除役軍人轉任公務人員考試規則第8條，將退除役軍人轉任公務人員考試及格人員永久限制轉調年限修正放寬為6年。

The Examination Yuan Council passed an amendment today to Article 8 of the Regulations for the Special Examination for Military Veterans Transferring to the Civil Service that removes the permanent restriction on subsequent transfers of place of employment in favour of a six-year restriction. 

考試院張秘書長俊彥表示，依據本（96）年1月24日公布修正的公務人員考試法第23條條文，有關退除役軍人轉任公務人員考試及格人員永久限制轉調規定，已修正放寬限制轉調年限為6年，因此本次配合修正「特種考試退除役軍人轉任公務人員考試規則」第8條條文，規定本考試及格人員，訓練期滿成績及格取得考試及格資格日起，由原永久限制轉調放寬為實際任職6年內不得轉調國防部、行政院國軍退除役官兵輔導委員會、行政院海岸巡防署及其所屬機關（構）以外機關任職，以符合公務人員考試法第23條規定。

Examination Yuan Secretary General Zhang Junyan indicated that with the passage on January 24^th this year of an amendment to Article 23 of the Civil Service Examinations Act, which governs the civil service employment of former military personnel, the permanent restriction of subsequent transfer for employment to government agencies other than those stipulated has been removed. That restriction has been reduced to a period of six years. Article 8 of the Regulations for the Special Examination for Military Veterans Transferring to the Civil Service has thus now also been amended to align with the revised provisions of the Civil Service Examinations Act. Henceforth, persons who qualify in this examination and duly complete the period of training that follows, are only restricted from working for any agency other than the Ministry of Defense, the Veterans Affairs Commission, the Coast Guard Administration or any of their affiliates until six full years of actual employment have passed. After that time, they may transfer to another government agency as conditions allow.
