國際軍事戰略專家分析,台灣海峽並不是主要戰場,因為中國導向飛彈部隊可以完全掌控局勢.台灣海峽水淺,而且寬度亦不足以,隱蔽大型水面作戰的軍艦,容易被雷達及衛星發現而暴露行蹤,反而容易被攻擊.

1:中國戰略在於出乎意料的突如其來的閃電攻擊,完全以導向飛彈及長程火箭攻擊台灣的海,陸,空,軍的軍事基地,包括愛國者飛彈基地,新竹樂山鋪路爪雷達站,其中美國早已曝露台灣愛國者飛彈基地,它們是固定的,無法任意遷移,曝露在衛星及雷達鎖定的目標,這樣一來第一波的攻擊,就完全被摧毀喇,1500億美元泡湯.

2:台灣空軍基地包括新竹,桃園,台中,嘉義,台南,台東,花蓮,都無法抵抗中國導向飛彈的攻擊,其中所謂的台灣東部佳山國防基地,中國解放軍海軍,094SSBN.核子潛艦,配合航空母艦CV-17.山東號J-15.的攻擊,利用潛射導向飛彈,JL-2.足夠摧毀整體基地設施,甚至於中國火箭軍發射DF-26/D導向飛彈(鑽地彈進行有效徹底的摧毀攻擊)8000億美元泡湯.

3:台灣全區的軍營,包括隱藏於山區的軍事陣地,都無法阻擋中國導向飛彈的攻擊,

6:至於台灣空軍的F-16AB.F-16V.Mirage 2000E.阿帕奇武裝攻擊直昇機,黑鷹直昇機等都無法消耗對等作戰,中國空軍優秀的J-20.隱形戰鬥機,SU-35.J-16.J11/B.J-10C.都足夠將台灣空軍擊潰.損失5000億美元.

7:有關政治作戰策反部份,台灣的軍隊中的中國國民黨的政戰體系,早已毫無作用,只是擺設,台灣的阿兵哥不知為何而戰,為誰而戰,他們絕對不會為台灣獨立而戰,面對中國解放軍的"政九特種作戰部隊",的滲透,已完成部署,將策反台灣軍隊的各級領袖幹部,目前台灣軍隊將近80%,以上,沒有參加政黨組織,即使台灣殘留的軍中政戰人士,也都面臨退役,再也無法告誡軍中的阿兵哥們,要為國盡忠,報效黨國,台灣的軍隊早已沒有中心思想,對於國家民族生存發展毫無觀念,這樣一來沒有靈魂的軍隊,何來士氣與敵人作戰?

8:中國國民黨的政戰體制,早已不符合時代需要,他們不知改革,精研政治作戰的重要性,台灣軍中的莒光日也就是說流於形式應付上級單位的考核罷了,傳聞許多將領級的軍中人士,退役後就投效中國解放軍,為他們出謀策劃,難怪中國對於台灣的"首戰"就是"終戰",實在是一言難盡?

如此一來中國為什麼還要主張以武力解放台灣?

China increases military pressure on Taiwan:

 

Experts in Taipei expect China to intensify military pressure on Taiwan, but say an invasion is unlikely any time soon.Two Chinese jets briefly flew across the Taiwan Strait "median line" - the de facto border between China and Taiwan - on Monday morning in what has been a busy year in cross-Strait military exercises.

While the jets were signalling Beijings displeasure with US Health Secretary Alex Azars ongoing visit to Taipei, similar missions have entered Taiwanese airspace and waters at least 20 times this year, according to local media. While Taipei is not required to publicly disclose every military encounter with the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA), Taiwans Foreign Minister Joseph Wu warned in July that Beijing might be preparing to "solve the Taiwan issue" - a euphemism for taking control of the island.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has not ruled out force in taking Taiwan, a democracy of 23 million people that Beijings Communist Party claims as its own although it has never ruled the island. 

Officials and analysts in Taiwan say the uptick in military activity this year is a sign that Beijing may be seeking a distraction from a slew of domestic problems, including a summer of catastrophic flooding in southern China, as well as international pressure on a range of issues, including the novel coronavirus pandemic and the trade war with the US. 

 

Taiwan, which remains a diplomatic sore spot for Beijing, has long been a convenient scapegoat for the Communist Party in times of trouble, according to Wang Ting-yu, a Democratic Progressive Party legislator and member of Taiwans Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee.

"This year, the activity appears of the PLA seems a little bit much more than usual, especially in the Southeast part of the Taiwan Strait. We noticed that compared with Chinas domestic situation, the Chinese Communist Party have some problems inside their country: COVID-19, floods, some food shortages and the economy is a little bit worse than usual," Wang told Al Jazeera."We think something happened inside the Chinese Communist leadership, maybe Xi faced some kind of challenge, and they are using outside conflict to divert [internal] leadership [problems]."

The uptick in military pressure was first noted by China-watchers in March and April and continued over the ensuing months, even as Taiwan held its own annual domestic drill in July to prepare for a possible attack or invasion by the PLA. Enoch Wu, a Taiwanese political activist and former staffer on Taiwans National Security Council, told Al Jazeera that he expected the hostilities to escalate.

"Certainly the number of exercises is quite high this year, but I think we should see it as part of a longer-term trend. Every year, China has been steadily increasing and escalating its military activities, so from where I sit, I see that as part of a longer-term pattern thats probably going to intensify," Wu said."There is a public expectation here that China will continue to ramp up pressure, and theres a lot more they can do, and will do, before an invasion will happen."

The last major crisis between Beijing and Taipei was in 1995-1996 when China fired missiles into Taiwanese waters following a visit by Taiwan President Lee Teng-hui to the US shortly before his election.

Since then, Wu said China has continued to ramp up the capability of the Peoples Liberation Army while also pushing outwards against Taiwan and its neighbours. Notable incidents included  declaring the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone, island-building and militarisation in the South China Sea, border skirmishes with India, and conflicts with Japans coastguard and fishing vessels, he said.

While Xi has pledged to take Taiwan, which he claims is part of China, by "any means necessary", Wang, the Taiwanese legislator, told Al Jazeera he thought an actual Chinese invasion of Taiwan was unlikely any time soon.The international costs would simply be too high for Beijing, which is also currently fighting a trade war with the US, and the government could get the "same effect" inside of China by appearing more assertive towards Taiwan, Wang said.

But while Xi may be winning hearts and minds at home, his push against Taiwan comes at a unique demographic inflection point for the democracy - and one that has given President Tsai Ing-Wen the political willpower to hold her ground against a hostile China.

 Notable changes have included a move to emphasise the word "Taiwan" on passports – which traditionally read "Republic of China, Taiwan" - and to change the English name of Taiwans flagship carrier, China Airlines. Taiwan has also managed to turn its successful handling of COVID-19 thus far into a global public-relations win and raise its international profile, despite lacking an observer seat at the World Health Assembly.

Tensions mount in region as Taipei announces 10% increase in defence budget.

China’s military said on Thursday it conducted exercises near Taiwan “to safeguard national sovereignty” in the face of rising US diplomatic exchanges with Taipei, underlining mounting tensions in the region.The comments came a day after Alex Azar, US health secretary, became the most senior Washington cabinet official to visit Taiwan since 1979 and marked a rare example of Beijing giving a political reason for a military exercise.“Recently, certain large countries are incessantly making negative moves regarding the Taiwan issue and sending wrong signals to the ‘Taiwan independence’ forces, seriously threatening peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait,” Colonel Zhang Chunhui, spokesman of the People’s Liberation Army’s Eastern Theatre Command, said in a statement.While Mr Azar stayed within US policy on Taiwan during his three-day trip, referring to the island as a jurisdiction rather than a country, the visit by such a senior Washington official was viewed as a provocation by Beijing.The US has been ratcheting up its campaign against China through sanctions against officials involved in Xinjiang and Hong Kong and against Chinese companies, as well as by seeking to deepen its relationship with Taiwan.

 

China claims Taiwan as its territory and threatens to attack if Taipei refuses to submit to its control indefinitely. Washington has never clearly stated that it would intervene in a war over Taiwan but it is committed under US law to help the country defend itself.

Col Zhang said forces from different services had held drills in the Taiwan Strait and north and south of the island during the period coinciding with Mr Azar’s trip.Song Zhongping, a Chinese military commentator, said on Thursday on his video blog that a recent test by China of its DF-26 anti-ship missile known as the “carrier killer” was a “warning to provocateurs”.On Thursday, Taiwan’s cabinet presented a draft military budget worth NT$453.4bn (US$15.4bn) for 2021, a 10.2 per cent increase in spending over this year’s budget. The defence ministry said the increase would be used for accelerating Taiwan’s acquisition of asymmetric capabilities and indigenously developed weapons. The aim was to “help build solid defence capabilities and demonstrate our determination to defend ourselves”.Hsiao Bi-khim, Taiwan’s representative to the US, said at a virtual event hosted by the Hudson Institute on Wednesday that Taipei was in talks with Washington on the purchase of coastal defence missiles and sea mines.

 

US defence experts have long urged Taipei to procure these types of weapons as a more cost-effective means of deterring a Chinese attack than more expensive equipment, such as fighters or tanks.China’s foreign ministry ridiculed Taiwan’s defence budget increase as a waste of money. “No matter how much it spends, as we all know, Taiwan is a small island. If it wants to fight against mainland China, it is like an ant trying to move a tree,” said Zhao Lijian, foreign ministry spokesman.Col Zhang’s statement follows an uptick in military tensions between China and the US. Both sides have held simultaneous exercises in the South China Sea and around Taiwan in recent months. There has also been a steady increase in Chinese military threats towards Taiwan. Since March, PLA jets have repeatedly crossed the Taiwan Strait median line, which carries no legal force but which both sides have respected in the past to avoid conflict.The latest incursion occurred on Monday morning, just as Mr Azar was heading into a meeting with Tsai Ing-wen, Taiwan’s president.
