  • evaporate  [ɪv'æpɚ,et]

Her cards evaporate: that's what you want, that's the object: in the end, the one who has nothing wins.

definition: to disappear or to change from a liquid or solid state into vapor               from: Late Middle English and Latin                                     eg: Some of my sinful qualities evaporated.

  • make allowance for

My aunt doesn't give an inch, doesn't make allowance for my mother's weariness.

eg: We must make allowance for his ignorance.

  • chip [tʃ'ɪp] 

I drop the chess piece into a sock to keep it from bumping against anything and chipping.

definition: break off                                          from: Late Middle English, Middle English and Old English                                                                                 eg: The rim of the teacup is chipped.                                     a: chippable                                                                            

  • decipher [dɪs'ɑɪfɚ]  

...locations until we're able to decipher what item we're looking for.                                 

definition: to make out the meaning

eg: The garbled words can be deciphered.

  • provision [prəv'ɪʒən]

A defective parrot. I wonder if there's any provision for that in the rules.

  • reunite [r,iun'ɑɪt]

...the former high school sweethearts who have recently been reunited after twenty years apart.

  • rigid [r'ɪdʒəd]

She's small and rigid with short blond hair and a frosty smile.

definition: firm and stiff

  •  segment [s'ɛgmənt]

For each segment, they fly us to a new city wherewe followa trail of  clues....

  • unison [j'unəsən]

"Good morning," we say like schoolchildren, except less in unison.                                                                                     definition: a process in which all elements behave in the sa-me way at the sametime

eg: I place myself by him. I touched the keys in unison with his imagination.

  • entourage [,ɑntʊr'ɑʒ]

The front door opens and the host of the show, Barbara Fox, walks in wit han entourage of makeup artists and even more camera people.

definition: a group of attendants or associates 

eg: I do not want to be one of the swines in your entourage.
