About a month ago got news that router company wont support our router, i was in a hurry to updated the latest version but got this and that not work problem. the version i had didnt backup. finally got poster provided older version quite similar to router company provided admin version.

After installed my notebook was marked as media server which never happened before at least the one i had didnt. not knowing well the side effect until frequently found unknown devices popped up. very scare whether are hackers and no way to blockade including change static to dynamic, blockade suspicious MAC addresses. last night (5/7/2025) Spouse suspect the router unknown functions generated weird MAC addresses for his cell phone but it didnt happen to mine.

Finally when i succeeded disabled router ReadyShare related and file explorer Network removed ReadyShare related device. but when ran the PC version (not router admin version) the readyshare still there, no way to change/disable totally.

here i searched as : "any better router app can permanently remove netgear router created then disabled readyshare but netgear genie still can see readyshare?"

"if run netgear genie as administrator can fix cant logout issues?" --No. 3 days ago still can close the screen then must re-login. but it didnt allow since then, very weird, can hacker have the capability ? when i think of MS maniac dy and night updated in 2023-2024 even power turned off notebook still can control my notebook auto turned on. didnt Isarale remote triggered the battery bomb? the more think of the more scare.

.......3. Steps to Resolve:
Check Network Discovery:
Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center and ensure that "Let Windows discover devices and networks" is disabled.
--i solved the problem as: windows settings > network & internet >Advanceed sharing settings set all off ie Network discovery, file and printer sharing,
Public networks : network discovery, file and printer sharing
All networks public folder sharing, except password protected sharing ON ps in case didnt succeed. yesterday file explorer can see 6 readyshare logos devices with different MAC/IP addresses, why so many auto created? after file explorer netword cant see then all gone. that is wonderful. isnt quite creepy we didnt use ReadyShare at all why hackers or else built so many and what's for, use our HD space for their unlimited space server?

the more tried to kick off ReadyShare the worse, before yesterday(5/8/2025) just one of our notebook labeled as media server, yesterday auto became two labled as media server. every now and then notebook is slower and slower response when typed, clicked button....

so i searched "router PC version still show (disabled)readyshare could router company bad worker can access readyshare do bad things to us who can get our router updated password? got:

--if i didnt see auto labeled our 2 notebooks as media server i might believe [router does not have direct access to your data or any other information on your network. ]

if i didnt see closed router PC version became cant log out and forever no need login again i might believe change password is better and easy way.

--i already saw more and more weird symptons. searched can see more and more complaints. i would say not just our router company got the problem. such ReadyShare was designed for self boss type business. in the meanwhile also can sell domain licence. Hoping China router company can enhance security.
