Especially the white grapes or the green grapes.

Oh for sure yeah.
It’s a lot less work.

I do really like mango.
Mango is one of my favorites.
It’s a very very sweet fruit.
I also really love nectarines.
And apples are one of my favorites too as well.
I guess I don’t have one specific favorite fruit.
Why do I have so many?
But I have not eaten a nectarine this year.
They’re in season.

Because you can put some adjectives in between to pack a and punch.
Just like in our article we have those two adjectives sweet and tangy right in the middle of that phrase.
Let’s talk about what this word tangy means.
Well.
Tangy is a word that means a strong sharp sour taste.
Something that makes you kinda go you know got a lot of tang in it.
Yes so for example something that is tangy is lemonade.
Lemonade has a tangy flavor.
So here we’re saying that passion fruit also has a tangy flavor.
Do you think passion fruit is more sweet or sour?
I think it’s a little bit more sour than sweet.
But I think it also depends on how ripe it is.
I totally agree.
I think a lot of the passion fruit that I’ve eaten has been more on the ripe side.
So I tend to think of passion fruit as pretty sweet.

But this depends.
One of my favorite drinks actually this fun fact about me is the passion fruit with tea.
Like maybe with like a green tea or something like that.
That’s one of my favorite drinks.

It can be used to make really yummy drinks.
That’s right.
And we see this word tropical here friends.
This is related to warm humid climates especially those closer to the equator.
And generally speaking when we use the word tropical like this we’re talking about fruit that is grown in a tropical climate.
Yes.
So for example maybe you could say oh the man treated his wife to a tropical vacation in Mexico.
That sounds nice.
Alright well.
We read on here.
While passion fruit has a hard shell that usually isn’t eaten the inside is filled with delicious flesh.
Let’s stop there for a minute now.
The use of flesh here for fruit is different than how we use it in other circumstances.

So flesh here is just referring to the soft part of a fruit.
But flesh could also refer to the soft part of a body as well.

So you could talk about the flesh of a person.
Or the flesh of a root.
That’s right.
So you could say here the peach flesh is sweet and juicy.
And when we’re talking here about flesh we’re talking about that inside kind of yellow pulpy part of the passion fruit.
That tends to have a lot of seeds in it.

I was kind of surprised and a little bit confused the first time I opened up a passion fruit.
And just kind of saw this glob of pulp.

As we see.
But aside from that the article goes on to say that those can be used in numerous things.
This juice this flesh of the passion fruit can be used in numerous things.
Numerous actually kind of like the word multi we talked about the other day.
Numerous just refers to many or a large number of something.
Exactly.
For example you could say she has won numerous awards.
Many awards or a large number of awards.
Those all mean the same thing.
So the flesh of the passion fruit can be used in numerous things.
Some people like passion fruit in baked goods and pudding.
While others use it to make smoothies teas and more.
Let’s talk about what a smoothie is.
Yeah.
We mentioned this word earlier when I was describing another word.
Describing packing up.
Packing a lot of flavor.
Packing a punch.
A smoothie is a blended fruit drink.
Usually it has some kind of milk part to it like yogurt.
Okay.
So here’s a question for you then.
What’s the difference between a smoothie and a milkshake?
Milkshake is very very cream based.
Usually well always made with ice cream.
Ah.
That’s the big difference friends.
These are two different things.
Don’t get them mixed up.
So yeah.
So we see here you can use passion fruit in smoothies teas and more.

first aid kit. So it’s a good word to know.
