１９８０年８月　黛安娜發行專輯第二單曲〔I’m Coming Out／我出場了〕

這首歌是１９７９年蘿絲委託當紅迪斯可團體Chic成員Nile Rogers＆Bernard Edwards為她製作大碟後　帶女兒去觀賞他們的演唱會

Nile Rogers後來在紐約一家夜店看到三名變裝皇后打扮成黛安娜模樣

便起了靈感寫了〔I’m Coming Out〕

此曲的弦外之音則是蘿絲將離開摩城（Motown）唱片　脫離老板Berry Gordy的掌控

Nile Rogers＆Bernard Edwards將〔I’m Coming Out〕製作成一首流行迪斯可舞曲

挾著〔Upside Down〕大紅的餘威下　〔I’m Coming Out〕登上美國流行榜＃５　靈魂榜＃６

與〔Upside Down〕的１２吋唱片組曲則登上舞曲榜冠軍
