但芮迪認為歌詞太像家長的心聲

決定把它詮釋成一首母親對孩子的愛

在Tom Catalano為她製作的版本前後有海倫女兒Tracie喊她‘Mommy’

 

［You And Me Against The World］登上美國單曲榜＃９　成為芮迪第四首Top１０熱門曲

另外也讓她在Easy Listening/Adult Contemporary榜冠軍連續四度封后

至於加拿大榜＃９　澳洲榜＃５５

連續兩首單曲的成功也讓專輯在美國拿到百萬金唱片

海倫說這是她第二首最常被點播的歌曲,僅次於［I Am Woman］, 可見其受歡迎程度。
