１９７０年後期，西班牙女子流行雙人組黑玫瑰／巴卡拉（Baccara）曾在歐洲紅極一時，雖然時間短暫．

１９８１年解散．

１９８３年，原始團員梅特·馬特奧斯（Mayte Mateos，1951-）重組自己的巴卡拉雙人組．

１９８５年，另一原始團員瑪麗亞·門迪奧拉（María Mendiola，1951-2021）組成自己的新巴卡拉（New Baccara）雙人組，各自展開音樂活動．

１９８６年，新巴卡拉推出處女單曲［Call Me Up／打電話給我］（Arrow Records唱片發行）

由Ian Cussick創作，

Luis Rodriguez製作成一首合成流行／歐陸迪斯可，

節奏輕快，編曲為當時歐洲時興的Euro-Beat風格.

兩名主唱以溫柔的唱腔演繹．

這是新巴卡拉的代表作之一．
