１９７６年７月出生於美國愛阿華州滑鐵盧市的崔西史班塞（Tracie Spencer） 是美國非裔少女歌手

１９８７年以選秀比賽獲得冠軍, 成為與Capital唱片簽約的最年輕女藝人

１９８８年初  美國非裔少女歌手崔西史班塞（Tracie Spencer）發行首張同名大碟, 獲得中等成績

１９９０年８月, １４歲的崔西發行第二張大碟［Make the Difference］

在黑人R&B界推出多首熱門曲

其中［This House／這棟房屋］更是成功在主流界大放異彩

升到Billboard單曲榜＃３（1991年終＃45）

成為崔西事業最成功單曲

大碟［Make the Difference］則升到Billboard專輯榜＃１０７,

副榜－R&B專輯榜＃３８

只是接下Capital唱片更換數個執行長CEO, １９９６－９９年甚至取消Urban音樂部門

影響其事業發展

後來Capital的新總裁Roy Lott上任,  終於恢復Urban音樂部門, 讓崔西得以籌備下張專輯.

 

 

１９９９年６月  將滿２３歲的史班塞終於推出睽違將近９年的第三張大碟［Tracie］,

 由Soulshock & Karlin，Arnold hennings製作, 獲得不錯樂評

首支主打［Its All About You (Not About Me)／全關於你(非關於我)］在５月末發行

此曲由 Heavynn, Karlin, Schack譜寫 , Soulshock & Karlin製作成一首 R&B流行抒情曲

在悠緩的節拍中, 崔西展示她已經成熟的醇美歌喉

［Its All About You (Not About Me)］登上Billboard單曲榜＃１８──是史班塞第二首Top２０，為其事業第二成功單曲

副榜－R&B單曲榜＃６

大碟［Tracie］則升到Billboard專輯榜＃１１９,

副榜－R&B專輯榜＃１９──為其事業最高

崔西史班塞復出的成績還算不差，只是因為眾多因素，再也沒有推出另一張錄音室專輯
