Dana Winner was born on 10 February 1965 in Hasselt Belgium, in a family with five kids. Her singing career started as she joined the local church choir and later on puts herself up for a sound mix competition, and wins. This is when she met Jean Klüger, who decides to be her guide. In 1989 Dana Winner scored her first hit with “Op het dak van de wereld”, her version of the 70s Carpenters classic On top of the world.

Dana’s international career was first launched in The Netherlands and Germany, and took a global turn when she was invited to go on tour in South Africa. The tour was a major success and her South African album went Platinum. With the ‘Platinum Collection’, which contains more than 50 of Dana’s well loved hits and best songs, Dana Winner proves once again that she is one of the true great European female artists.
