中油董事長李順欽接受資深媒體人周玉寇專訪，談到中油正積極邁向綠能轉型，訂下最晚在2050年能成為氫能家園，同時也和中研院及台泥合作，在台東和宜蘭開發地熱。另外，李順欽也談到，最近國際能源成本飆升，導致中油1~6月已累績虧損達555億元。
中油董事長李順欽接受周玉寇廣播節目專訪，談到7月開始電價調漲，主要是因為國際能源價格暴增，中油提供燃料給台電，也面臨嚴重虧損，光是今年1~6月已虧損555億。
中油董事長李順欽說，「只有對電業漲一點點，漲了5%而已，我對電業打8折多，大概84折在賣，我對民生工業打4折在賣，這一部分也就是造成中油，天然氣虧損非常嚴重的一個原因。」
另外，為了配合全球碳中和趨勢，中油身為台灣最大能源供應者，近年來積極轉型，希望未來以完全零碳排的氫能為主，今年將打造第一座氫能實驗和示範工廠，目前分不同階段規劃，目標最慢2050年要達成氫淨家園。
中油董事長李順欽表示，「這是一個關鍵的時刻，那其實不用看到2050年，在目前這關鍵的10年，到2030我們一定要有一些成績出來，我在跟內部講，今年要讓大家感到有感轉型，所以我把它定義，叫做中油淨零元年。」

面對永續目標，化石燃料逐漸要被淘汰，台灣位在太平洋火山環帶上，擁有豐富的地熱資源，就連微軟創辦人比爾蓋茲投資的開發公司，也選中台灣花蓮，李順欽表示，目前中油已跟中研院和台泥簽合作備忘錄，分別在台東和宜蘭平原開發地熱，積極推動國內綠能轉型。
