李奇嶽指出，今天已經有保險公司忽然提出取消海外突發疾病的醫療保單，假如其他保險業者都陸續跟進，將來國人前去海外各地觀光的風險會提高異常多。

李奇嶽也呼籲保險公司和相幹部分持續研擬適合的觀光商品給民眾和旅行業者投保，後續都還需要一些協商。

李奇嶽申明，如果大家出國時沒有突發疾病醫療保單，在國外確診新冠肺炎恐面臨可觀的醫藥費和相幹滯留本錢，像是重症住院或家眷告急赴本地提供必要協助，又或須倚賴醫療專機後送回台，這些費用都不是一般老公民承擔得起的。
