姊姊是個自動自發的孩子,做功課從來都不需要我操心...
昨天下午,她拿著筆記本,來到我面前:
「媽咪,我所有的功課都做完了,只剩下這一題,我需要您的幫忙!」
我一看,有點傻眼! 是一題英文版的"申論題"(essay question): 試述環境對於文化發展的影嚮...
我的第一個反應是: 蛤! 這是小學四年級的功課嗎? 
好吧! 兵來將擋,水來土淹...我向姊姊詳細解釋了什麼是文化發展,環境為什麼會影嚮文化的發展,又舉了一些例子° 姊姊聽懂了,以她的理解寫好答案,請我幫她檢查°
「嗯! 大致上寫得不錯,只是妳沒有定義何謂"文化發展"」...我說,
「哦! 這個老師知道啊,我不用寫...」姊姊笑嘻嘻的回答, 
我...我...真是哭笑不得,都快說不出話來了! 
「妳...妳乾脆就把這句寫上去算了: 老師,妳都知道,何必問我!」 
還有...我真的不記得,以前我們小學的功課有這麽難嗎?

我覺得這也太深奧囉! 上星期是問我們美國民主黨和共和黨的差別...現在的小孩,有點可憐...

No we did not learn it back then.
It's a good training for students to develop their logical thinking and analytical ability.
In fact, this type of writing is part of class works for AP English students. I remembered my children did a lot of research to write an essay for their AP English and AP History classes.
It will be great that your daughter started early.

I do agree it is a great training for students to develop their logical thinking and analytical ability. I was just wondering if this specific topic is a little "too hard" for elementary school students.
