我說：請等一下吧，今天九點半到校就可以了，還兩個多小時呢......

九點半，把依依送到教室後，帶小皮蛋一起去學校的大禮堂聽校長介紹學校與一些應注意事項及多種不同組織的家長志工代表招募志工等介紹。這些訊息在依依未開學前，我已從學校網站知曉，而暑假期間，也陸陸續續的收到許多email有關學校開學後，許多需要家長出錢出力幫忙的事、活動及應參與的會議等。

感覺上，孩子上義務教育的幼稚園起，大人好像更忙了。

一個半小時的開學典禮結束後，回到教室接依依。老師除了給了作業外，也在一個小透明塑膠食物袋內放了一張小貼紙、星星、一分美元的硬幣 (Penny)、橡皮擦、OK蹦（Band-Aid)、綿花球、及一個巧克力，並附上一封信，送給每位同學。

老師的信上寫著袋子內那些東西代表的意義：

Welcome to kindergarten. I hope you enjoyed your summer.

I want you to know how excited I am to have you in my class.

I put this bag together to remind you of a few things....

* The STICKER is to remind you that we all stick together and help each other.

* It is a STAR to remind you that you will always shine and to try your best.

* The PENNY is to remind you that you are valuable and special.

* The ERASER is to remind you that everyone makes mistakes (even teacher.) It's OK to make mistakes.

* The BAND-AID is to remind you to respectful of the feelings of others. Let's not hurt our friend's feelings.

* The COTTON BALL is to remind you that this room is full of warm feelings and kind words.

* The CHOCOLATE KISS is to remind you that I will always take care of you.
