Where is Xinbeitou Railway Station to Be Renovated? (by Rosie)

About moving the architecture of the old Shin Beitou Railway Station back to the original site, I have searched on
the website today. Unfortunately, not much info could be found, and the posted info is quite confusing.

There seems to be two plans, Plan A: Stay at the original site. Plan D: Move to another location where is about 50 meters
away from the original site due to the traffic concern. Am not sure whether my understanding to the above is correct.

Currently no plan has been agreed and further discussion will be made this week. In the meantime, the torn down

architecture is still sitting there in pieces although Mayor Ko promised that the reconstructured building will be moved

back before April 01, 2016 to celebrate the 100 years of anniversary. Not sure what is the problem of no processing of the reconstructuring work as there seems no need to wait for the decision of where the architechture to be located.

From my point of view, traffic around Hsin Beitou Park is getting worse especially on holidays not mentioning with
a new antique architecture added in the most crowded area. The following suggestion of Plan D is considerd more appropriate.

台北市溫泉發展協會代表發言，北投入境人次1天1萬人左右，溫泉業者贊成D案，因為A案會造成交通很大的瓶頸，尤其該區為七叉路口，預估每周的人流高達1萬5000人次。不過，也建議市府可以於A案原址做一個新北投火車站的導覽，並搭配指標，指向位於D案的實體火車站建築，如此，就會有過去、現在、未來的文史故事。

As there is only about 8 months away from April 01, 2016, decision needs to be made the soonest possible.
Plan A obviously is not practical and should not waste time on it.

2樓. 珍妮的異想世界 2015/07/29 04:38 我覺得能設在原地方是最好.當然以新北投現今熱鬧商店林立的狀況是很困難,但是若是移往他地,就少了真實性,只是一個landscape. 以一個士林人來看北投,北投因為有一群人的努力,讓北投很有故事也很有味道.great.
