The rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some units include a seating area where you can relax. Enjoy a cup of tea while looking out at the garden or city. 國民黨文傳會副主委洪孟楷今（27）日表示，我國在美最具代表性的雙橡園前院的中華民國國徽被遮住，這種小把戲就如同「貼有自製不存在的台灣國貼紙護照出國，卻被對方海關拒絕入境，恐會被美國認為是麻煩製造者，拒絕往來。」
洪孟楷指出，雙橡園前院的中華民國國徽，是Google Maps或維基百科等網站介紹時一定強調的景觀重點，空照圖中我國國徽綻放在美國土地上更是清晰可見，是非常具有代表性的象徵。
洪孟楷說，蔡英文政府將具有代表性的國徽藏起來，改插綠色台灣島圖案，這是在陳水扁時代已經搞過的花樣，現在蔡英文再來一次，根本是自我矮化，是政治意識型態作祟，行徑如同某些人把不存在的台灣國貼紙貼在我國護照上，難道以為這樣就是台灣獨立？
洪孟楷強調，蔡英文上任近一年，不敢、不願也不能宣布台灣獨立，卻又想對獨派人士交代，所以只好搞小動作，自欺欺人地把國徽藏起來；去年國慶日時，蔡英文才隔空向對岸喊話說，「中共應正視中華民國的存在」，但現在蔡英文自己在搞去中華民國化，難道是在向中共輸誠、靠攏嗎？
洪孟楷認為，蔡英文政府這樣舉動，不但是自我否定政權的正當性，更對不起去年5月20日宣誓就職面對的國旗暨國父遺像！
不過外交部也出面澄清，國徽圖案沒有移除，原有的造型及結構皆無變更，只是今年中華民國政府使用雙橡園八十周年，配合進行美化工程，僅依照權限對園址進行整體規畫維護。

有支19人登山團7日參加花蓮縣秀林鄉羊頭山一日遊行程，原申請從慈恩旁入山往返羊頭山，卻未依申請變更路線，走到恐龍塔時發現往羊頭山路段無法通行，準備回程時因天色昏暗擔心迷路，加上舊路線需2天路程，登山團準備的糧食不足，因此報案求援，目前警消已請他們先找尋安全地點休息，預計8日早上6時入山協助。
根據花蓮縣消防局表示，登山團原申請從慈恩旁入山，單攻羊頭山路線，卻未依申請變更路線，改由陽明隧道旁舊路線入山，走到恐龍塔往羊頭山路段時，發現無法通行，最後決定原路折返，但因照原路返回需要2天路程，登山團原先只規畫一天來回，因此糧食裝備準備不足而向消防局求援。
消防局目前先請19人尋找安全地點保暖過夜，預計8日早上6時入山協助下撤，預估登山隊目前位置，約需12個小時路程才會抵達。
