It’s a question that has crossed the minds of generations past and present around the world. Leaders of Ocean Tribe—also known as Ocean Church—challenged themselves with this very query during a new training seminar.

Spotlight: Indigenous Peoples' Day

October 11 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day which celebrates, recognizes, and honors the beautiful traditions and cultures of the indigenous people in America. The day is centered around reflecting on their heritage, culture, and way of life that carries invaluable wisdom and enriches the global community.
In 1989, South Dakota became the first state to recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, followed by 13 other states and more than 130 cities around the country to date. Indigenous Peoples’ Day uplifts the voices of Native Americans and celebrates their lives while shedding light on the historical pain and struggles of native people during an era of colonization and oppression. For Native Americans, the October 11 celebration of Columbus Day has been a painful reminder of a brutal past of genocide, assimilation and discrimination.

On Oct. 9, 40 men and 40 women began a 6-week course designed to learn about God’s vision for sex and intimacy in marriage. The program consists of daily readings of the Core of the Universe, which is a compilation of True Parents’ words about sex and love.
