美國總統川普（Donald Trump）過去對加密貨幣嗤之以鼻，說它們「不是錢」，只是毫無價值的「空氣幣」。但消費者權益團體「公共市民」（Public Citizen）於27日發布極具批判性的調查報告，揭露川普如今卻靠著發幣，零成本爽賺14億美元（約443億台幣），並由廣大跟風散戶蒙受47億美元（約1488億台幣）的鉅額損失。
TRUMP迷因幣最慘！
晚進場散戶成「接盤俠」 慘賠1013億 報告指出，川普家族的加密版圖橫跨四大專案，每項都帶給投資人慘痛虧損。當中最為慘烈的要屬「Official Trump」（$TRUMP）迷因幣，幣價攀升至最高點73.43美元（約2324台幣）後就迎來崩盤，潰跌至目前僅2.22美元（約70.29台幣）的價位，約100萬個加密錢包合計虧損32億美元（約1013億台幣）。不過，這筆錢並非憑空消失，而是形成巨大的財富轉移，早期買家拿走大部分利潤，後來追高進場的投資人則承擔價格崩跌代價。
WLFI再吞10億美元！Trump Media砸316億買比特幣 帳面先虧142億 川普家族支持的World Liberty Financial（WLFI）治理代幣，則是幣價波動劇烈，造成投資人虧損至少10億美元（約316億台幣）。WEFI雖然號稱「治理」代幣，但治理功能並不存在，早期還不可轉讓，讓投資人一時只能乖乖等著被套牢，無法出場止損。
川普旗下Trump Media & Technology Group建立的數位資產財庫，則投入超過10億美元買進約9477枚比特幣，目前帳面虧損約4.5億美元（約142億台幣）。川普NFT系列的價格也大跌約76%，釀成投資人至少930萬美元（約2.94億台幣）的損失。
USD1沒讓投資人賠錢但藏有國安疑慮 64%由海外利益持有 World Liberty Financial旗下USD1穩定幣，因為與美元掛勾，跌幅受到了限制，成了少數未造成持有人實質虧損的專案，報告因此將相關損失列為0美元。
不過，這項專案背後涉及阿拉伯聯合大公國資金，以及加密貨幣交易所幣安（Binance）的大量持有，估計至少64%代幣掌握在海外利益手中，帶有重大外國利益隱憂。 文中質疑川普家族的加密事業，並無實質經濟作為基礎，獲利全靠外國政府、企業、希望獲得特赦的人和鐵粉。
幣安創辦人趙長鵬獲得川普政府赦免，就凸顯了川普政策和加密夥伴的利益高度重疊。
川普一邊當總統一邊賺加密財？Public Citizen喊修法 要求總統家族出清持股 「公共市民」認為，真正值得擔心的並不只是散戶賠了多少錢，而是美國總統是否能同時掌握政治權力，以及龐大加密資產利益。報告因此呼籲國會，推動加密貨幣監管法案時，須加入更嚴格的道德規範，要求現任總統及其家族出清加密產業相關持股，不得從受監管的數位資產中獲利，避免政策制定與私人投資利益糾纏。
