當年只有20歲、還略顯青澀內向的梅西，參與了巴塞隆納球隊與聯合國兒童基金會（UNICEF）合作的公益月曆拍攝。透過當地慈善抽獎，一個來自貧民社區的家庭幸運中獎，而他們抱來的嬰兒，正是當時只有6個月大的亞馬爾。
亞馬爾的母親在接受採訪時曾說過一句極具哲學意蘊的話：「不是梅西祝福了亞馬爾，而是我的兒子亞馬爾，在那一天有幸觸碰到了歷史上最偉大的神。」
19年前的神秘開光，19年後即將在最高殿堂一決高下，這美好的洗禮與傳承，比戲劇還戲劇性。這就是上帝的劇本。
