不過，外媒指出，市場震盪並不代表股災一定發生，更不代表投資人應該恐慌殺出，因為歷史經驗顯示，長期投資人最重要的策略其實是「留在市場」。

據《The Motley Fool》11日（週六）報導指出，每當市場波動加劇時，資金通常會流向民生消費股與高股息股等防禦型標的。然而，專家認為，市場下跌時急著賣股轉進其他標的，往往是出於恐懼而非理性判斷。除了可能產生稅務成本，更大的風險在於錯過反彈行情。
由於沒有人能準確預測市場何時回升，投資人若在低檔賣出，很可能錯失後續長線漲勢。
根據資產管理公司Hartford Funds統計，1996年至2025年間，標普500指數表現最好的交易日中，有高達48%發生在熊市期間。市場最悲觀的時刻，往往也是最容易出現強勁反彈的時候。
因此，歷史數據顯示，面對市場修正最重要的並非猜測股災何時來臨，而是避免情緒化操作。
對於基本面未變、僅因市場恐慌遭錯殺的企業，部分投資人甚至會選擇逢低加碼，藉此攤低持股成本，為下一波行情提前布局。
