Absolutely vile and mean spirited shite. It reminds me of the furore over that lad Connor who happened to be fat, and lived in the Midlands (?) He and his depressed mother were descended on by a pack of middle class journo harpies all deriding the poor woman for ‘abusing’ her son. I’d like to have seen any of them managing on her benefits, with the nearest Superstore two bus rides away, zero greengrocers, and a fast food outlet on every corner.

If journos are really worried about nutrition, they should be targetting the supermarkets responsible for creating these food deserts, not witch-hunting the people forced to cope with the results.
