The economy in the US is so bad lately that more and more people are abandoning animals. I didn't see any stray dog on Long Island before this summer. However, during the past few months, I've seen a few dogs wandering on the streets in the town I live. It is even worse for cats. People abandon kittens in the woods more often lately. Personally, I have rescued 8 abandoned kittens this year, including these 2 poor babies who were left by someone in front of my door tonight. When my wife and I got home tonight, they were just stting in a box in front of my apartment and were really scared... We brought them in right away and bottle fed them in our bathroom. After the feeding, they finally went to sleep. It is really difficult to take care of baby kittens. (bottle feeding every few hours, cleaning their pees and poops...) I know the coming few weeks will be like hell for us but we really hope they can survive without their mommy... Fuck those cruel people who don't fix their pets but abandon their pets' babies!!
